TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Any order from a Customer for stationery from Courtnie Designs is deemed to constitute acceptance of the following terms and conditions. 

Timings: 

Please allow 4-6 weeks for any amendments, proofs, printing and delivery. ‘On the day’ items must be approved at least three weeks before the wedding to ensure delivery on time. Courtnie Designs will not be liable for orders not delivered on time in this case. If the Customer needs a quicker turnaround, please let Courtnie Designs know prior to placing the order. Courtnie Designs will always try to accommodate tighter timescales if possible, but some schedules may incur a rush fee. Please allow 6 – 8 weeks for a bespoke design. 
Bespoke quotes are only valid for 30 days.  

Prices: 

Every effort is made to display the prices accurately. However, on rare occasions, the price displayed might be wrong. In this instance Courtnie Designs will correct the mistake and inform the Customer so that they can decide whether to continue with the order at the correct price. 
Courtnie Designs reserves the right to change product’s prices at any time without further notice. However, if the Customer has already ordered, Courtnie Designs will guarantee the price of when the order was placed.

Proofs: 

Courtnie Designs will only accept information for your invites electronically (typed up message/email or word documents). Handwritten, photographs or screen shots will not be accepted. The first proof will be sent to the Customer within 48 (working) hours of receiving all the information and wording via email from the Customer. Any changes the Customer wishes to make to proofs are to be confirmed by either email or in writing. The amended proofs will be resent to the Customer within 48 (working) hours of receiving these changes. Please provide the information for your order in a timely manner, and approve the proofs as soon as possible, delays during this process may delay your order, in some cases this may result in your order being moved to the next available production slot. 

PDF Proofs and final artwork will be sent via email. Courtnie Designs takes great care in making sure that all information is accurate, however it is ultimately the responsibility of the Customer to properly and completely check any proof for errors or omissions (layout, copy, spelling and grammar). If designs are approved with type errors and subsequently printed Courtnie Designs takes no responsibility, and will not be liable for any resulting cost. If replacements are required then they will be charged for in full. It is therefore of the upmost importance that you check all spelling and copy thoroughly before approving any designs. 

Please note that the colour on your screen may differ from printed colour. We do strongly recommend that you print the PDF proofs in order to view it to the correct size. This will help to ensure that the scale is correct, and that all fonts can be read and that you are happy with the colour. Please bear in mind that printers also vary and that your final stationery will be printed on the highest quality professional print press therefore the colours may differ slightly. 

Samples: 

Samples are sent as a means for the Customer to see the quality of the products offered. Due to all the variables in design and print, we cannot guarantee that your order will exactly replicate a sample previously received. 

Liability: 

If Courtnie Designs fails to deliver the order for any reasons other than any cause beyond Courtnie Designs’ reasonable control or the Customer’s fault and Courtnie Designs is liable to the Customer, Courtnie Designs liability shall be limited to the invoice price of the goods. 

Courtnie Designs shall not be liable to the customer or be deemed in breach of the agreement by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform any of Courtnie Designs‘ obligations in relation to the goods, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond Courtnie Designs‘ reasonable control. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the following shall be regarded as causes beyond Courtnie Designs‘ reasonable control: 

Act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident 

War or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition. 

Acts, restrictions, regulations, by-laws, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of governmental, parliamentary or local authority 

Import or export regulations or embargoes 

Strikes, lock-outs or any other industrial actions or trade disputes (whether involving employees of Courtnie Designs or of a third party) 

Difficulties in obtaining raw materials, labour, fuel, parts or machinery. 

Power failure or breakdown in machinery. 

Returns and exchanges: 

In line with online distance selling regulations, customized/personalized orders are not available for refund due to the personal nature of the goods. This applies to all items which are tailored to you specifically, including all invitations and personalised wedding stationery such as table numbers and other ‘on the day’ items.  Refunds and exchanges will only be made if the stationery is faulty or does not meet the specifications of your order. If you wish to return a faulty item, you must notify us (either by email or in writing) within 14 days of receipt of the item. We strongly advise obtaining proof of postage. We cannot be held liable should your item(s) get lost in transit. 

The cost of and safe return of the goods is the responsibility of the customer.  

Deposits and cancellations: 

A non-refundable 25% booking fee is required on placement of an order, this reserves a production slot and guarantees the prices you have been quoted. Balances are due after the final proofs have been approved. Delay in payment will result in a delay in receiving your order, in some cases this will mean moving your order to the next available production slot. The order may not be cancelled or refunded after final proofs have been approved. 

Delivery: 

The utmost care is taken when packaging your stationery, and it will be sent to the Customer by tracked courier. The tracking reference number will be emailed to the Customer as soon as the item is shipped. Deliveries times will vary according to the courier. 

International deliveries: 

The cost of a shipping internationally will depend on the destination, weight and dimensions of the package. Please contact Courtnie Designs via email to receive a rough estimate before placing the order. International deliveries are made by courier tracked service (for all stationery orders excluding samples). 

We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier. Customs Fees / Import Duties are not a part of our shipping fees. Please note that any international delivery may exceed expected delivery time. 

Testimonials and images: 

All testimonials on this website or our social media channels are written by the Customers of Courtnie Designs. In the case of individuals who prefer to remain anonymous, the names will be changed but the text will remain the same. By placing an order with Courtnie Designs the Customer agrees to feedback sent via email or other channels being published alongside an image of the stationery. All personal details on the stationery that appears on the images will be concealed as much as possible.  

Courtnie Designs may edit the testimonial and publish edited or partial versions of the testimonial. However, Courtnie Designs will never edit a testimonial in such a way as to create a misleading impression of the Customer’s views.   

If the Customer would prefer not to have their stationery image or testimonial published, the Customer can express so in writing in an email to Courtnie Designs at any point and any images or text will be removed within 24 hours. 

Complaints procedure: 

In the unlikely event that you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance so we can respond appropriately and try to resolve your issue. 

Copyright: 

All of the content included on this website and our social media channels, including all of the text, graphics, photographs, graphs, sounds, data, images, audio, and video clips are the property of Courtnie Designs. All of the content available on this website may only be used by you as a shopping and information gathering resource. You may not copy, publish, distribute, create derivative works of, or commercially exploit the content of this website, or use this website for any other purpose. Any improper or illegal use of the stationery, artwork or designs or any other intellectual property rights will be pursued. 

Courtnie Designs exclusively own the copyright in any artwork produced by Courtnie Designs, including the copyright in the way in which a work is presented or designed and in the content material in any work where that content has been created by Courtnie Designs. Bespoke items are unique and created to the specification to the Customer but remain the copyright of Courtnie Designs. After the date of the wedding or event these bespoke items may become available for others to purchase as part of our semi-custom collections.

These Terms and Conditions are between you and Courtnie Designs. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
